Test Runs
When you test run a project, that project runs locally on your computer using your IP address. Test runs are typically only performed on a small number of pages for the purpose of testing and troubleshooting your project before running it.
Runs
When you run a project, it runs in the cloud on our servers using our IP addresses. This means that you can shut down ParseHub while the project is running. It will continue to run on our servers and notify you once the data is ready.
Typically a single IP address will be used. However, if you are having trouble with this IP address (e.g. you are being blocked by the website), you can rotate IP addresses on any of our paid plans using our IP Rotation feature.
We also offer custom proxies on our paid plans, in case you want to access the website from a specific country or if you want to use your own proxy.
